Just add your long screenshot to the editor above; there’s no mode to pick. Any image more than three times as tall as it is wide is treated as a long screenshot, cut into sections and set in columns on the page, like a newspaper.
What the tool does
- Cuts in the gaps. Screenshots usually have a plain background, so the tool scans row by row and only cuts in the blank space between lines of text. No line gets sliced in half.
- Keeps columns readable. Each column is at least about 65 mm wide on paper, so a page usually holds two or three. For a typical phone screenshot that means printed text of around 8–9 pt, about the size of newspaper body text.
- Adds pages. If it doesn’t fit on one page, more pages are added and exported together.
Options
Click or tap the long screenshot to:
- Choose Fit to one page and squeeze the whole image onto a single page. The menu shows an estimate such as “Printed text will be about 5 pt” and warns you when that’s likely to be hard to read.
- Choose Don’t split to treat it as an ordinary picture, scaled down whole to fit the page.
Long, narrow receipt photos taken with a phone camera look similar, but the tool reads the camera information in the photo and leaves them uncut by default. If it guesses wrong, switch between Split and Don’t split with one tap.
Export
Click Export to print, download a PDF, or download one 300 DPI image per page (as a ZIP when there are several). Before exporting, the tool checks again and flags anything whose text would print too small. Screenshots are processed only in your browser and are never uploaded.
