How to print the same image multiple times on one page
Add your picture to the photo layout tool, click it, choose Copies in the menu that appears, use the − and + buttons to set the total you want (2 to 20) and click OK. The copies are placed right after the original and laid out on Letter sheets automatically. Click Export / print and you’re done, with no need to add the same file over and over.
What people use it for
Labels and stickers. Storage box labels, folder tabs or a sticker design your child drew: make a dozen copies, print them on sticker paper and cut them out.
Name strips. A small image with a name and class on it, repeated enough times for every exercise book, water bottle and pencil case.
One notice, several slips. A class reminder, a pickup code or the guest Wi-Fi password doesn’t need a whole sheet each. Make 4 or 6 copies, print one page and cut it up.
Photos for a class or team. A group photo or a worked example, repeated so each group gets its own.
It works the same on a phone. Tap Camera and photograph something on paper; the tool finds the edges and straightens it, and you can then make copies of the scan. If the light is poor, switch the effect from Original to Enhance.
Tips for layout and cutting
- Lots of copies may need two sheets. In the automatic layout, ordinary pictures keep a long side of at least about 6 cm, so copies that don’t fit continue on the next page rather than shrinking to nothing.
- Fewer cuts with less margin. In Page settings, set Margin to None and the copies sit edge to edge, so one cut separates two neighbours. Most printers can’t print the outer 3–5 mm of the sheet, though, and the tool warns you before export if something is that close. Narrow leaves gaps of about 3 mm, which is more forgiving with scissors.
- Each copy is independent. Afterwards you can rotate or delete any single copy, or use Add caption to write a different name under each one.
- Changed your mind? Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) undoes the whole copy step at once.
- ID cards work too. Copies of an ID card or bank card keep their real size of 85.6×54 mm.
In the print dialog, choose Actual size or 100% so the pieces come out the size you saw on screen. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Ready? Lay out your copies on one page.
