This page opens straight into ID mode. For a driver’s license, state ID or passport card, choose ID card: they’re all the same standard wallet size as a credit card, 3.37 × 2.13 in (85.6 × 54 mm). Photograph the front and the back, check the corners, and both sides are printed at actual size on one Letter sheet, one above the other, just like the copy a landlord’s office or a bank would make. Canada uses Letter paper too, so a provincial driver’s license works the same way, and most provincial health cards do too.
Step by step
- Choose the document type: ID card for a license or ID, Bank card for a debit or credit card, or Passport for a passport book.
- Click Choose photo to use a picture you already have, or on a phone tap Take photo.
- The tool finds the card’s four corners and straightens a photo taken at an angle. If a corner is off, drag its handle into place.
- Do the back the same way, or click Skip the back if only the front is needed.
- Click Export / print to print, or download a PDF to email or upload.
The first time you use the camera or ID mode, the browser downloads a scanner component of about 10 MB. After that it opens quickly.

The size comes from the standard, not from your photo, so it doesn’t matter how close you held the phone. Cards print with rounded corners and a subtle shadow, so the copy looks like a photographed card rather than a flat rectangle. Most health insurance and membership cards are the same wallet size; if yours measures about 3⅜ × 2⅛ in, choose ID card for it as well.
If the printout is the wrong size
Nearly always, the print dialog is scaling the page. Choose Actual size or 100% instead of “Fit to page”. To check your printer, print the calibration page and measure the card frame with a ruler: it should be 3.37 in (85.6 mm) wide.
Privacy
Your photos are processed only in your browser and are never uploaded, and you don’t have to leave your license on the glass of a shared copier. When you’re done, choose Clear from the ⋯ menu (under Settings on a phone) to delete everything saved in this browser. Whether a printed copy is accepted, and whether they need both sides, is up to whoever asked for it, so check with them first.
